Chelsea Avila was born and raised in Melbourne/Naarm, where her passion for art was realised in early primary school during a trial art program. Although the classes were short-lived, her creativity continued to be nurtured through gifts from family—DIY kits and craft materials. Throughout primary and high school, Chelsea continued with art as a hobby.
Now studying for a Diploma of Visual Arts at RMIT University, Chelsea’s work is centered around water-based mediums, especially watercolor. She also enjoys experimenting with drawing and other techniques, always aiming to capture the unique essence of each subject.
Chelsea has begun exhibiting her work in group shows such as the Linden Postcard Show and has proudly held two solo exhibitions in 2024 with support from local councils.
